Dr. Lam graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine, in 1987. He has enjoyed being a general practitioner in Family Medicine works in his two busy medical practices in Toronto for many years. He is also an examiner for the Medical Council of Canada, which is the licensing board for all new doctors from other countries. In 2005, he expanded his interest to cosmetic medicine and opened the MD Laser Skin Clinic located in Don Mills, of which he is the Medical Director. He is an Allergan certified injector for BOTOX COSMETIC®, and dermal fillers such as Juvederm and takes continuing education in the field of dermatology and aesthetic medicine.“Everyone wants to look good for their age, including me, which is why I think that there is a need and a place for aesthetic medicine to benefit our total health and well-being”.

Dr. Lam is married to Dr. Lo,  and has 2 children in university. 

During his spare time, he enjoys golf, tennis, and fixing things around the house.
